最近、電波時計が凄く安くなりました。

Recently, Radio wave clock becomes cheaper.

というより、電波時計でない時計の方が珍しくなりつつあるようです。

I think that it becomes difficult to find ordinal clock in market.

私の愛用している腕時計(液晶)も電波時計なのですが、既に4000円を切っていますし、もっと安いものもあります。

私の腕時計の場合、毎日午前12時4分に、自動的に電波の受信を開始して、時刻補正をしているようです。

私の通勤経路では、乗換が2回必要でして、その乗換時間がギリギリである場合があります。

I have to to transfer of trains for my commute twice every day, and I sometimes don't have enough time to change platforms.

以前は、このような場合、ホームの間を走って移動していましたが、最近では走ることがなくなりました。

Though I have to run in order to change the platform before, I seldom run any more recently.

移動を秒単位で意識するようになってきたからです。

I become to be aware of "second bit" of daily time.

- 13 seconds from door open to arrival to up elevator

■上りのエスカレータの移動時間が30秒弱。

- Less than 30 seconds for moving up elevator

■下りのエスカレータの移動時間も同様。

- Same time for moving down elevator

てなことを考えて、

I think the above and I finally judge that

―― 2秒前に乗換できる

"I can transfer the train before two seconds.”

と判断します。

ただ、これには若干の技術が必要です。

■車掌さんにお見せしながら移動する必要がある

車掌さんは、人が纏まって乗り込んだタイミングで、ドアを閉めたいと考えます。

当然ですよね。

It is natural.

ドアを閉めるタイミングを逸すると、乗車したい人たちが次々と飛び込んできますから。

If he/she loses the timing, the following people are coming one after another.

しかし、たとえ定刻時間の2秒前であっても、ドアを閉めることはルール違反であるハズです。

However closing door should be against rule, even if the remaining time is just two seconds.

ですから、私は、イライラしている車掌さんの前で、「時計を見ながら」悠々と2秒前に乗車する訳です。

Therefore I try to ride on the train with watching my wristwatch in front of the irritated conductor.
