毎年、この時期になると、父と母の確定申告の手続を代行しております。

At this season every year, I stand in for file a final tax return for my father and mother.

これまで住民基本台帳の電子認証を使って、電子申告ができていたのですが、この電子申告期間がexpiredしていて、いきなり郵送の手続きになってしまいました。

Until now, I tried to do the filing return by digital certificate service of the Basic Resident Register, however this year I noticed that the service had been expired, and have to do a mailing procedure.

それにしても、電子認証の期間が「3年」というのは、正直、短いです。

Even so, the available period of the digital certificate service is three years, and I am afraid that it is too short.

その手続(親を市役所に連れていって、書類にサインさせて、等)に費したコストに対して、短かすぎると思います。

I think that I had paid for the procedures, for example taking my parents to a municipal office and asking them to to sign autograph

もっとも、電子個人認証は、悪用されるとその限度は際限がないので、仕方がないとも言えるのですが、それにしても、面倒くさいです。

Of course, I know it is difficult to prevent a digital certificate service from being misused, and it cannot be helped. however it is annoying me.

「絶対に悪用できない電子認証」があれば良いのですが、技術的にどんなに強固なものを作ったとしても、運用がザルならパーです。

If there is a digital certificate service with zero risk, it might be no problem, however, even if the technology will be prefect, there is no point with rough management.

市役所が開催している確定申告のイベント会場で、私の前に使っていた人の個人情報(ID番号、住所、からパスワードまで)が、パソコンのバッファに残っていて、びっくりしたことがありました。

When I went to the event of final tax return at a city hall, I was very surprised to find a person's private information(ID number, address and password) in a buffer of the official PC.
