I wrote about a make sent me a email about their product during the first three days of the New Year,
これ、よくよく考えると、―― マニュアルの説明が不親切だった ―― とも言えると思うのです。
But I came to think of it again, the reason was "the unclear manual".
全体を説明する資料がないし、異なるツールの関連も不明、別のツールを使う時には、設定を変更しなければならない等の説明が、全くなかったのです。
There was no explanation and figure of the whole product, relationships between another tools, and setting for another tool.
ただ、エンジニア向けのマニュアルは、ほぼ例外なく不親切です。
In fact, almost of the manuals for engineers are unclear.

マニュアルを一度も読まないで、「動かん」と怒り出す人は、世の中には沢山います。
There are a lot of people who become to get angry with the product which does not work, without reading the manual.
特に掃除機、洗濯機、冷蔵庫などの家電製品などでは、その傾向が大きいです。
Especially, about the household electrical appliance such as vacuum cleaners, washing machines, and refrigerators, they are apt to do it.
しかし、そのようなユーザに対して、メーカーが「マニュアルを読まないアンタが悪い」という態度を取ったら、そのメーカーはおしまいです。
Even if a maker blame them with saying "You are wrong because you don't read the manual”, the make is going to the end.
そもそも人間は、「機械」が嫌いで、「マニュアルを読む」という行為は、さらに嫌いなのです。
Indeed, human being hates machines, and moreover they hate reading manual for their history.
それにも関わらず、パソコンやスマホがここまで一般に普及してきたことは、これは人類史上の「奇跡」と呼べるほどの事件と考えられます。
In spite of it, PC and Smartphone have spread generally. I think that this is a great achievement of the human history, called, "the miracle".
これは、「マニュアル」を徹底的に排して、GUIだけでサービスを提供できるまでに、精錬なデザインの研究開発を続けてきた、インダストリアルデザイナー達の勝利とも言えましょう。
This is a win of the industrial engineers who have continued studying about refined GUIs that can provide services independently.
