どこの会社、職種で同じなのかどうかは不明ですが、私の所属する研究所においては、何度でも資料を書き直しを命じられます。

For my laboratory, I am often ordered to modify the material by boss, Though I don't know whether other companies or other jobs are same.

パワーポイントで資料を書く→それに対してレビューを行う→修正指示が出る→それを書き直す→それに対してレビューを行う→修正指示が出る→ ・・・

Making materials by the PowerPoint → Being reviewed the materials by others → Being ordered the modification → Remaking the material →Being reviewed the materials by others → Being ordered the modification → ....

この修正指示は、本人←→課長←→部長←→重役と続けられ、締切直前まで行います(この「直前」とは、冗談抜きで、分秒単位の「直前」だったりします)。

The route of the order continues among executive, department manager, unit manager and me until just before.(It is really "until just before" as minutes and seconds without joking.)

私は、この作業の時間や労力が、意思決定の速度を遅らせて、労働コストを増加させ、その結果として、ビジネスチャンスや競争力を低下させている、と、長い間信じてきました。

I have believed that the time and energy make our decision making and the speed lower, and as the result of that, we lose business chances and competitive power.

その考え自体は、今も変わっていないのですが、最近、ちょっと見方が変わってきているのを感じています。

Though I have not changed the thought of mine. I feel that I change the view of this issue.

つまるところ、

のだ、と。

つまり「パワポ意思疎通システム」です。

It could be called "PowerPoint communication system"

というか、「そうでも考えないとやっていられない」というか。

In other words, "I cannot possibly put up with the diary tasks without the thouth."

それで提案なのですが、今、喧嘩している恋人は、メールで、パワーポイントの交換をしてみるというのはどうでしょうか。

If you have a fight with your lover now, would you exchange the PowerPoint sheet by e-mail?

「課題」や「課題を解決する手段」が御互いに明確となり、幸せなイブの夜をすごせるかもしれませんよ。

You could make clear of your "problem" and "solution against the problem", and you could get happy Christmas eve night with your lover.
