I looked to the display,

she was singing a song of "Hatsune Miku" with her headphone on.

When I asked her what she was doing for, she told me that she prepared for going KARAOKE.

I couldn't understand "Practice for KARAOKE?”

She shouted that "Too difficult to sing Vocaloid songs well!"

Yes. I think the Vocaloid songs are not suitable for human's skill as a singer.

”If you don't like, you should not go KARAOKE against reason.”

”You might not be able to understand well, "getting along" in the human is very very important.”

The middle management salaryman was here, with being preached by his daughter.

Last half of this year, I have been in the head office(HO) of a project.

Though the HO has many kinds of jobs, the most important technique is "following"

"To let them to finish a task complete by the deadline"

But this is very troublesome.

If I contact them indulgently, the deadline will break. If I contact them strongly, it will be something offensive, and may become bullying.

It is vital to respond while adjusting the exquisite balance.

For example, this phrase

"If you miss the deadline and have to apologize to your intimidating boss, I am going to follow you."

Because I was drunken.

When I helped my wife's address change at a night,

she could almost finish making a information person list of senders in the midnight.

Wife: "I have to send this e-mail to concerned people before the start of tomorrow early morning"

Ebata: "Early in the morning of tomorrow? Should I send it now?"

Wife:"Such late night, it is a rude manner isn't it?"

Ebata:".....What?"

When I asked my wife the reason, she told me that the persons in her workplace make their smart-phone

"turn on the function to inform the arrival of mail by vibration or voice"

Since they use the smart-phone as an alarm clock, if the mail arrives in the middle of the night, the smart-phone wakes them up.

I come to think that the "encore" of a play or a concert,

"this is so tiresome"

It is difficult to explain this a bit, however, I don't want to stop "encore".

However, such feelings, don't appear easily.

On the other hand, I feel sorry for the performers of the theater company and players.

That kind of feeling makes me think "troublesome".

Well, I think it is too much thought. Since I don't go to see theater so often, I do not need to worry too much, however, I think

"A world without an encore may make me happy a little bit"

This December was really busy - but I can not tell you the details.

Talking about it may be a problem in many places.

In the past, I could write "returning the holiday ..." with complaint and boast. However, it comes to be difficult to write such things.

So, instead of talking about returning holidays, I only describe,

Getting off to the living room, the second daughter was making milk tea.

Even after finishing drinking milk tea, I continued talking about funny stories (animes or an incumbent minister) and I kept on pushing new topics one after another.

However, the second daughter told me in the end.

SD: "Dad"

Ebata:"What?"

SD: "Now, give it up now and go back to work"

Ebata:"...."

Hanging my head, I went to my room.

Many people seem to be working day at the end of the year today.

On the train on the way home, the drunken people are loud noises (beyond the dimension, the level that hurts the ears),

The study period I allow for my series of columns is less than a month (I need about 6 working days to write).

So, from someone who has studied the subject thoroughly, the content of my column may seem

(1) The accuracy of the information is low.

(2) The number of items in the study area is limited.

(3) The content of the discussion is thin.

They will be for sure.

In other words, my column is not as good as those who have spent 10 years or more examining the field -- I know that well.

I know exactly what I'm doing. I also think that

"I wonder why so many (x all) books of Iwanami, Chuko, Kodan, Chikuma are so hard to read and so unenjoyable?"

I think any book that I have to reread more than three times to understand is a failure, just for me.

Well, let's just say that I, as a receptor, am ignorant, illiterate, and uneducated.

Anyway, I don't find even a millimeter of value in "doing my best to understand books from Iwanami, Chuko, Kodan, Chikuma, and so on.

I would choose to read 10 or more simple, easy to understand books for fun.

"Hard reading" is the worst use of time in life.

Today, new my column is released, so I take a day off.

The paradigm shift in the field of education, even in STEM education under Corona disaster.

I have a fierce sense of urgency about Japan's IT backwardness because I am an IT engineer and researcher.

Perhaps people in the medical field are terrified of Japan medical backward, and people in the economic field are madly worried about Japan's financial crisis.

In the same way, I think people in the judiciary are worried about the courts that keep running away with "highly political decisions," and people in the legislature see a hopeless future for Japan in the situation of "no progress in revising Article 9 of the Constitution.

I think people in the education field are heartbroken by the current devastation in the education field, from "bullying" to "indecent teachers".

And people in the SDF may really believe deep down that 'Japan must be nuked.

And the rest of the people above are probably thinking like that

"They're overthinking"

I think I lived in the middle of the Cold War era, but in the end, World War III did not occur.

As far as I know, not a single person predicted the self-destructive collapse of the Soviet Union.

People who strongly advocated the Soviet invasion of Japan have yet to properly sum up the fact that their predictions were wrong.

Therefore, I believe that STEM education and programming education will probably be "what will be," and that we will probably be able to "work it out".

In the end, people who think "work it out eventually" can live the most carefree life, even if it makes me feel angry.

My family has been buying a single yellowtail (Buri) at the end of the year for about three years.

This year, I ordered a fairly low-priced yellowtail with the condition of "unknown arrival date from December 25-30 and automatic cancellation in case of a poor catch".

And it arrived today.

The yellowtail I ordered weighed 4 kg, but I think it was heavier than that (63 cm long and 10 cm thick).

It was hard to get the head off, so I had to slam down a knife and cut it down.

The main character in "My Youth Romantic Comedy is Wrong as I Expected" is consistently portrayed as a character who hates math.

However, I feel uncomfortable with this characterization.

This protagonist can make precise relationships and even accurate predictions about the subsequent ramifications of the events he generates.

He uses a multivariate optimal solution method for human relationships, and for time variation, he uses an exponential function to imagine the human forgetting function, etc.

In other words, he hates math, even though he uses it all over his daily life.

This is a detrimental effect of the false assumption that the purpose of mathematics is to find the only solution.

I regret the design of these characters because I believe that the essence of mathematics is "Falmi Estimation."

I mean, in most animations, the character of the guy who "likes math" is a jerk or an enemy.

It is as if people who "love math" are portrayed as 'inferior/distorted in personality.'

I feel the world's ill will toward mathematics.

Earlier, I wrote the folloiwng in my journal,

One of the solutions to this, I think one of the answers to this question is that

"Studying mathematics can reduce the fear of new AI technologies."

I have been saying for a long time that the mathematics used in AI technology can be understood within the scope of high school mathematics.

I have not changed my opinion on this, even with the advent of generative AI.

In truth, there would be nothing to say if you could 'build your own simple AI core engine,' but that might be a bit too much.

However, it is more reassuring to think that you are governed by something you can understand (to a point) than to believe that you are governed by something you don't understand.

But humans are already controlled by machines, you know. You could even say that it's 'done'.

Already, we are dancing in the palms of our computers, from traffic lights to traffic jam information, vaccinations, to bullet train ticketing systems.

The only difference is that we humans are the ones who make and run the computers.

Studying mathematics reduces the phobia (fear) of these systems.

I wonder if the same could be said about AI technology, in my opinion.
