The other day, I went to a workshop of industrial network in Ota-ku Tokyo.

All the day, I attended some lecture of standard organization, however, I was in trouble that I came to view the lectures critically.

I kept writing the articles of EtherCAT,

I made the EtherCAT master in my home PC, and

I constructed the EtherCAT slaves with diving under the floor.

"I am bound to hear the lectures from the viewpoint of EtherCAT specifications"

I am bound to see EtherCAT in a favorable light.

like the followings.

"Why re-trial of frame transfer against communication error ? Easy to continue to transfer the same frames ?"

"Does it need to a special slot to communicate with slaves ? Other protocol like SDO is enough isn't it?"

Almost for one year, I have been drawing "maids" that are personified as EtherCAT slave, so

I cannot grasp other standards of industrial network objectively.

I will prefer not to go this workshop next year.

However, tidal waves are coming suddenly in this field, so I should have an eye open full-time.
