This weekend, I have written a column about the Article 772 of civil law (estimate of the legitimacy of birth)
My senior daughter came in my room with her summer homework, because the cooler was working.
The following is the conversation with my daughter.

Relatively cool days have continued for about a week, but recently the heat days has come back again.(However I did not think that I called the day of temperature 30 degrees "cool" in my life)
Frankly speaking, I cannot sleep well without air-conditioner. If not sleeping well, it might be no problem. However, I have to exchange for life.
The person who has a creed of "Nuclear Power Plants are needed and we have to keep and manage them, should argue his/her article of faith with this "blistering heat" in this summer.
However I have never read such arguments before.
(To tell you the truth, it is not unknown thing, but) the present Japan is in trouble handling power surplus. This is the normal knowledge for our engineer. (I will write the column about this issue)
So, unfortunately, this "blistering heat" might not be a "value of hostage"

Recently I have done a thought experiment.
When I bring Tokugawa Ieyasu to the present age (tropical night with high humidity) and ask him,
Choose either "the position of the highest authority of the Edo shogunate" and "the day with the air conditioner"
Which will he choose ?
In my case, I absolutely choose "air conditioner"
Even if he knows a comfort of air-conditioner, he might think that "power" is appeal to him more than "air-conditioner". I have thought nonissue for a long time.

At the period, "Losing power" reaches to "instant death", so this comparison might be nonsense.
We, nowadays, are seldom killed unduly by others, even if we have no power. However, nobody knows in our future.
For example, nobody knew that the armed services ignored Japanese government by the reason of invasion of supreme command( civilian control was broken perfectly) when Imperial Constitution of Japan was established.
Nobody also knew territorial defense by the Self-Defense Forces, and the possibility of amendment of the Constitution, article 9, when Constitution of Japan was established.

Since then, I have always lived paying attention to "Whether I'm conscious, I'm always an perpetrator" and "What type of perpetrator I am now".

There's a word for "self-aware".
It seems to be a term of ridicule for people who use English-words in conversation.
So, I did some research on that word "self-aware".
Assign, Evidence, Commitment, Just Ideas, Zero-Based, Summary, Tight, Default, Fix, Priority...
Hmmm, if I am banned from using these, I am in a lot of trouble.
In particular, I will not be able to have a patent brainstorming session (or should I say, a patent idea review session).
However, I also think some people may find the use of these words offensive.
There's a problem of "misunderstanding of terms". For example, I once got angry when someone mistook "avatar" for "pockmark".
Well, I think it's important to use these terms in accordance with the TPO.

'Not giving up' may be important, but 'not giving up' has a negative cost in terms of enormous time, cost and impact on those around you - making not only you but also those around you unhappy.
Especially, one of the impact to me, is "destory my mind, and to the worst, kill myself".
'Getting started' is easy.
However, 'giving it up' is 100 times more difficult and painful than "getting started".
That is the 'curse of sunk costs'.
'Giving up' is harder than 'getting started' and, therefore, more worthwhile.
Stupid Edison didn't seem to realise it. I, however, know that.

The 'curse of sunk costs' has been found to be a psychological factor in people's inability to leave cults.
As should be obvious to readers of my columns, I am the type of person who mass-produces sentences without regard to format.
My policy is, "As a rule, I create my writing for my future self, and if I'm lucky, for the benefit of others."
I think It is better to ignore formats and keep what I can leave than to reduce the information with care in the formats.
There is, however, an opposing view to this, and it is significant.
Well, one might say that this is the difference between "me-ism (self-centeredness)" and "cosmopolitanism (world citizenship).

The only thing I am morbidly concerned about formatting is communication protocol programs.
This is because a protocol error of just one bit will result in a loss of communication.
In other words, in a world where we can't move a millimeter without strict adherence to a format, we must.
