Today, I uploaded a content, so I took a day off.
BAYONET special seminar: No money, no time and no connection -- a technical writer's approximate calculation method
Please see the followings.
I will give a lecture this time with these contents (It's a panty, indeed).
"Well, please input the value 0.05 in the "Is Panty" column.
(Continuation from yesterday)
Yesterday, I wrote about "2015 the Cabinet Office issued" suicide countermeasures White Paper", which is a beautiful book of color and whose size is heavily B3 type. The price is also cheap, that is 2160yen (including tax) .
The books, which the government and public offices have been issued, are always at bargain, I think. Because there are a lot of data I want to get, and I enjoy reading the books(just watching graphs and tables are good).
The data of the book is available in some Excel files from the site of each ministry and agency. Anyway it is very helpful for me, as a researcher and writer.
-----
However, conversely, even if the data contains "false", I don't do anything because there is nothing except for the numbers.
During the war of the Pacific War, the Imperial Headquarters announced a false veterans, and gave false data to the public, and they had continued trampled a large principle of democracy.
If the data of "suicide countermeasures White Paper" is bullshit, my analysis become a completely useless act, and the ridiculous article is going out to the world.
I think that this is considerably horrible.
-----
The white paper has a variety of budget usage, and has also been described some corresponding measures and effects, however I don't care of them at all.
What I expect the white paper, is "the number has been described abundantly, exactly, and clarity.
Anyway I don't read any articles except for the numbers.
A friend of my wife seems to say "I have to get it", whenever new type of iPhone is released.
Around me, a colleague tried to purchase new type of Macintosh as soon as possible.
They are called "Early Adapter" as I recall, and I always think of them,
"Glory!"
I make a habit of getting old or used things, and adding several parts to get a good performance. Therefore I
-----
Unless they are, the company, that has released a new product, cannot collect the development cost, and know initial defects.
Under the favor of them, many information, for example, how to use it, and how to recover from troubles, are going to be accumulated.
I am following something new slowly, and I can get it at any easy rate, and enormous information.
In a word "Glory!" indeed.
-----
One day, I think of it.
"Why do early adapters make them the early adapters?"
(To be continued)
(Continuation from yesterday)
A public office which I relates as an engineer, is the patent office.
The patent office gives patent rights, which can make even a big company bankrupt (if you have a prominent capability and persistence).
Therefore, the management works extreme precise and exhaustive, like a sophisticated giant factory, and the mutual absolute relationship of trust between patent applicants and the patent office should be indispensable.
Nobody can tamper with a patent application, as an official document, except for the special administrative procedure "compensation" or "correction".
(*)I think that a patent application is equal to an official document, because it is going to be opened under the government control.
And the administrative procedure should be opened to all people in the world without reservation and restriction.
Even if the are examiners hearing examiners and office staff, their arbitrariness should be prohibited rigidly.
-----
If persons in authority and adulators interfere with the management of patent system,
I have really a spirit that
"I will kill Director-General of the Patent Office and the examiners in charge by a bomb with the office building , and also kill myself at the front of the rubble."
In my mind, "patent application" as a official document, is sacred, unviolated and absolute object.
(To be continued)
Before, in this serialization column, "human injury series" continued for nearly a year.
In the series, I contacted each company of Tokyo Private Railway (about 6 major companies) and asked for an interview.
The condition presented here is
- I do not disclose company name
- I would like to interview a person who is working in the field
- The manuscript will be checked by the company and will not be altered afterwards
-----
The aim of this interview is following two.
(1) Checking the contents of the column Ebata wrote
My source materials were (A) data requested to be disclosed to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, (B) books, and (C) the Internet information only, and there is no "raw voice".
So I wanted to get a review about the content.
(2) Gathering information on "personal injury" I do not know
After all, I have never been more than "a victim of a train delayed by personal injury."
I could only guess about procedure and intention of person performing accident processing (including the system).
So I wanted to hear your opinion from a different point of view.
-----
The reply "we want to decline" returned by email or phone.
"Well, it is natural"
I think.
Rail companies do not have any benefits to gain by responding to my interview.
Rather, it can be said that there was only a disadvantage.
-----
"It seems that a strange writer whose name is Ebata is moving. Can we use him to convey our message to the world? "
And I hoped that there was only one railway company that could be considered that way.
Well, it could not be helped.
I am studying the fundamentals of quantum mechanics when studying quantum computers.
As a result,
"Compared to the fear of quantum behavior, neither "UFOs", "ghosts", or "the world" are in the number of scary things."
I feel that.
I have heard from various people and books about "phenomenon beyond the common sense of quantum", I feel the fear by doing my own research.
Our world is not fully understood, while realizing that, I continue to investigate.
"To give money to children for helping out at home"
This is a thesis that appears again and again, and each time it is criticized and condemned.
However, I used this approach openly when I was preparing my second daughter for her junior high school entrance exam.
"She will receive 50 yen (coin), if she coudl recite Japanese history year/event pairs (500+) to the end without looking at anything and without making a single mistake"
We did this every day.
-----
The Ebata family called this method "air" because it was done without looking at anything and while facing the ceiling.
We have also extended this method to science and social studies in general.
Anyway, she was able to successfully pass the entrance exam to her school of choice.
(For more information, please see Yukari-san Project)
-----
For my second daughter and me, the 50 yen was not a reward, but a token, a 50 yen coin.
This method is a mindset that allows both parents and children to find meaning in collecting metal tokens, rather than the monetary value of 50 yen.
Therefore, I believe that this method is not the same as a "to give money to children for helping out at home"
-----
Studying for exams is a tedious process for anyone.
Especially for elementary school students, adult logic does not apply.
This is because elementary school students are not adults.
Then, parents must try various ways to set the mindset of their children.
I know it's a hassle, and most of those will fail.
Nevertheless, parents live longer than their children, so they must continue to try their efforts.
I am surprised to watch many Ukrainians, victims of attacks on non-combatants in violation of international law, being interviewed normally in English.
I believe that the ability of non-combatant civilians to assert their inhumanity to the world in their own words (without an interpreter) will have a tremendous impact in the information war.
Our country, like Ukraine, could be invaded by another country.
# However, it could be said that our country has already been 'invaded' since we already allow other countries' military bases to be stationed in our country, but that is beside the point.
When talking about the "atrocities of the aggressor," I think it is an important matter of national security to be able to speak to the world in English, the de facto world language.
However, the percentage of people in Japan who are literate in English is "4%" according to Ebata's estimate.
Overwhelmingly low
It would be better to assume that there are no Japanese (including me) who can handle an interview in English.
-----
I feel that "the way of information warfare" is changing in this war.
Until now, information warfare has centered on propaganda and espionage by the intelligence agencies of national governments.
This time, however, real-time (or live) information dissemination by citizens of the city has made a big impact.
I think that a situation where the evidence of the war trials after the war, not to mention international public opinion during the war, will be full of evidence, will put pressure on the rulers - well, it depends on the rulers, I guess.
(As an engineer, I think "evidence preservation and authenticity assurance technology" using blockchain, etc. will become important.)
-----
It is a bit tough to say whether the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) can write "studying English in preparation for future wars of aggression" into the guidelines for English education.
So I guess it would be the discretion of the teachers in the field.
'Hey, Nancy. Where are you going today?"'
'Oh, my God, Bob. Tom and I have a date today'
Instead of these conversation lessons,
'Give me back my daughter! Give me back my wife! Give me back my house and our land! What the hell have we done to you people! Answer me! XXXXX(The Enemy statesmen)!'
I think it would be good to just memorize these phrases.
We live in a world that must recognize diversity, but it is difficult for individuals to understand diversity, and even more difficult for society to recognize it.
Minorities will need a persistent, long-term (quarter century to century order) struggle against public incomprehension.
However, there is a quick way for individuals (x society) to recognize diversity.
It is to be a minority party.

I was sitting on the aisle side of a three-seat seat on the Shinkansen bullet train on my way home from a business trip.
A burly-looking man about my age, seated by the window, was looking intently at several snapshots.
When I stood up to use the restroom, I happened to see that picture.
It was a picture of the man and a teen-like girl dressed in an idol costume, smiling together.
If only the girls weren't wearing idol costumes, they were clearly parent and child.
The "old man on a bullet train, chasing after idols" is no longer an uncommon existence -- in anime and novels in my mind.
However, when I see a live person in real life, I am a bit surprised or scared -- this is my small human capacity, I guess you could say.
If I could see a middle-aged to early-aged man looking at snapshots of himself with his idols once a month, I would not "put off" as often.
But it will take a long time from now, I thought.
-----
And I thought that,
In order to understand this diversity, I have to enter the "idol chase" myself.
So, in a nutshell, I have it on my to-do list for life, but at this point, it is about at the bottom of that list.
The issue of whether "same-day notice" of executions violates the Constitution was dismissed in a recent court decision (now in the first instance).
Regardless of the merits of this trial or the death penalty, I believe that one of the reasons why the death penalty is an "extreme punishment" is because of this "non-disclosure of the date of notification.
Of course, even with "disclosure," extreme punishment is extreme punishment.
For example, if someone said to me, 'You (Ebata) are confirmed to die on April 17, 2034, 10 years from today, and this is inevitable,' I don't know whether I would think this was a good thing or an unnecessary thing to say.
But the discretion to extend that "10 years later" with effort or shorten it with despair -- is something the death penalty does not have.
I think that the death penalty is an extreme punishment in that it deprives a person of the right to choose their way of death.
Aside from that.
-----
The death penalty is a punishment that we "support" (in principle) after considering our personal views on the whole, including historical background and crime deterrence.
I believe that it is only a matter of time before same-sex marriages are officially recognized (although I think it is wild to put them in the same category).
We can confirm that the judiciary's rulings are changing gradually from year to year.
However, I believe that, as a general rule, public sentiment is "in favor of the death penalty.
As far as I know, there are few court cases on the issue of "the death penalty is unconstitutional."
The issue is also generally "cruelty or not.
This ruling is the only court case I know of (that I am aware of) fighting the "system" itself. (Please let me know if there are any precedents I am missing.)
-----
However, we have a "duty" to check whether this system works well.
Namely,
"witnessing an execution."
We should apply the same framework as the "jury system" (*) to the "system of witnessing executions.
(*)Notification is made based on a list drawn up by lottery from among the voters, and a person cannot refuse to be a judge without cause.
Of course, we should not install this system easily; if it does, we will have to discuss it in depth.
If we are to make an administrative argument of principle, it is extraordinary that there is no "system of witnessing executions."
The above is because this falls under the "disclosure of administrative processing."
If mandatory participation is "too much to ask," then the program should be operated as an application system for those who wish to participate.
(It would be a significant incident if a person who participates in the program caused an accident (including suicide) due to fear of being forced to participate.)
As for the application system, it is evident that it requires a rigorous examination (tests such as whether the historical background and judicial or administrative handling protocols regarding the death penalty are understood).
In addition, as a matter of human rights, permission for disclosure/non-disclosure by the person executed would naturally be required.
To consider this further, does the bereaved family of a crime victim have the right to be present without the permission of the person executed? And so on, need to be considered.
(Now that you mention it, I had overlooked this point of view. For example, what happens to the family register and certificate of residence after a definite death sentence, and other relatively trivial matters (and what happens if a request for a retrial overturns the sentence? and so on))
-----
By the way, I will apply to this program as soon as it starts.
I am aware that I am maintaining this society by my own "bloody hands" -- and I affirm that.
Therefore, I believe that I am obligated to watch my "bloody hand" with my own eyes, not as an abstraction but as a concrete object.
