In the commuting train, I noticed that I was annoyed of watching the young couple who caressed their hairs each other, hugged, and kissed.

The time spent on English education in Japan is huge.

As I know, half of the time I spent studying teenagers has been brought to English.

And even after finding employment, I spend much time to study for TOEIC, e.t.c outside the office.

In my estimate, the number of workers in Japan who really need communication by English is about 4% at most.

Other than that, English is only used for e-mail, in other case, English is only used for immigration in overseas traveling, once in several years.

And, the skills that foreign workers are expected, are determined as "expert knowledge + help desk of English communication" by law or government ordinance.

I think that this will be a new policy to realize both Japanese global and domestic strategies.

What is asexual?

Asexuality is a sexuality in which a person is unable to have romantic feelings or feel sexual desire for another person.

It seems that friendship and love for friends and family are normal, but "romantic feelings and sexual desire" are weak or absent.

I thought I knew a lot about the diversity of sexual directions (vectors).

I like the fact that in the novel "Japan sinks" and the movie (the 1st) "Japan sinks", there is not a single bad guy.

I think the theme of "Japan sinks" is a fierce exodus in which everyone, from ordinary people to scientists, the Self-Defense Forces, and politicians, all work together desperately, risking their lives.

"In the face of a catastrophe of unprecedented scale that could sink Japan, who would be so carefree as to engage in "political affairs"?"

I come to think so.

As for the mechanism of the sinking of Japan, The novel "Japan sinks" devotes an enormous number of pages to a thorough explanation.

I was so worried that the readers would lose motivation if the explain is so technical at such length.

In the movie "Japan sinks", they had a real seismologist explain about the mantle convection (He was a professor of Earthquake Research Institute of the University of Tokyo).

The realism of it scared me.

I also heard that the number of students majoring in seismology had increased since then.

When learning about the "Tragedy of the Commons," many people easily despair (as I did) that 'humanity can't share resources.'

However, Dr. Elinor Ostrom, the 2009 Nobel Prize winner in economics, boldly challenged the "tragedy of the commons.

After critiquing the fundamentals of policy analysis as applied to natural resources, she provided unique empirical data to explore the conditions under which common-pool resource problems have been resolved satisfactorily. She used many examples to show the factors that prevent "tragedies of the commons."

I was honestly moved by the words, "This is what 'scales from the eyes' means.

The Prisoner's Dilemma or Tragedy of the Commons are easy examples.

However, the book is full of the wisdom of humanity that has overcome these obstacles (although, by the way, it is also full of examples that could not be overcome).
