I want to omit the details but I was amazed to know easy computer security managements in the government office.

I convinced me that

Anyway I go and call to anywhere in order to know taxes and insurances of my country home, and I came back to home with be exhausted.

The other day, in my commute train,

a young man, getting stars in his eyes, was muttering

He seemed to be a person who loses his some intellectual functions, and to identify with a leading character of an animation.

"Can we allow to use the word "freedom" without respects and courtesy?"

Accidently I wanted to start my speech in the commute train.

The other day, I wrote that I had been captured by Scotland Yard in Heathrow Airport.

I could know the reason, because my sight looked like a member of special attack team in some organization.

So I used to respond affirmatively and friendly to police checkup at any country.

For me, "a policy check up" is in common. Whenever I talk about the story in drinking party, for example, I was surprised to watch the persons who were surprised to hear the story.

The closer the distance between she and I becomes,

the closer the distance between a girl and a terrorist also becomes.

Thanks to give me works of writing about AI technology, I have had chances to meet some person who engages AI's application.

When I talk to the persons like the above, I have often heard the following phrase.

"It is not AI but just a program isn't ?"

If executives and bosses are ordering the application of AI technology with this knowledge, the company's future is completely dark.

First of all,

- Artificial Intelligence is a program.

- There is no artificial intelligence which is not a program.

Of course, when new AI technologies made by iPS cells or clones, appear ,I will withdraw the above remarks.

In the first place, to talk with current artificial intelligence, Machine learning and knowledge acquisition are almost "automated" tuning technology, or addition function of electronic dictionary.

The idea and method existed for more than 20 years ago, and there is no current AI technology beyond them.

However, on the other hand, there are engineers struggling with AI technology. They becomes living dead every day, and try somethings, for example, in order to realize a possibility from 99.6% to 100%.

Indeed, I am surrounded by such people everyday.

I have wanted to say that for the last 25 years.

I like making something by myself" that is called "DIY".

The reason is that I am a hunks rather than a creator.

The main reason of the persistence of "DIY" is for a satisfaction that I can save money.

For example, I can make a PC desk by one cheap veneer board, and install local area network at home by myself. All of racks in my house were made by me.

Recently, I know that EtherCAT slave base which can be installed in Raspberry PI is sold for 6000 yen.

at a country in Europe

No matter where it is sold, of course, I want to get it. However the total cost (including shipping) become more than 24,000 Yen. So I had to give up.

I also tried to check the cost by my company system, the price come to be same.

I hope that I want to make the cheapest EtherCAT slaves, based on Raspberry PI by DIY, But this is meaningless for this cost.

Of course, If I start to study about the hardware design and production now, I will make it. However, I had run away from the hardware technologies because the design and trial was always annoying me when I was a college student.

Well, I think that this though was not wrong.

Thanks to enormous performance of microcomputer IC, many technologies has been realize by software(like farm ware and operating system)

However, EtherCAT realizes "Zero buffer transmission" which is ultimate realtime communication

No matter how hard it can be done with software, software cannot realize beyond the performance of hardware.

I like "DIY" for everything, however, the cost for "DIY" is more than a thousand times than commercial products. it will get my priorities wrong.

My daughter went on a trip with her friend to the capital of the neighboring country (peninsula), and she came back to Japan the other day.

- We can have a effective methods against this disease by "mask", "hand washing" and "gargle"

And so on, to understand correctly,

- No wonder if you or I get infected tomorrow

- Simulating the response in that case in advance in your head

For these activities, the movie mighe be useful.

"Impossible to broadcast the movie "Virus" on TV"

It is more likely that the country will panic than the benefits mentioned above.

Most of us are not as aware of the difference between "bacterial disease" and "viral disease" and "droplet infection" and "airborne infection" as much as "fission" and "fusion".

Or rather, as far as I can remember, we don't have that kind of education in the first place.

Well, in such an emergency, it is true that the people are reasonably ignorant and the rulers are easier to operate.

About my works (creating simulations, communication programs), I sometimes use the resources of my personal computer (PC) to the limit.

When the limit is exceeded, the application will stop and the PC will freeze.

In the first place, the Windows and Linux operating systems (OS) manage the resources of the computer to prevent this from happening, but our work can extend beyond the control of the OS.

All the work I have done so far will disappear, so I must avoid such a situation.

In other words, it is (sometimes) necessary to manage and control the inside of the PC world by myself, without leaving it to the OS.

However, I think that this structure of opposition between "cheerful" and "nerd" can no longer be contrasted as it used to be due to the intrusion of the virtual space of the Internet.

I don't know how to put it into words, but if I had to, I'd say "good" and "bad".

At my company, detailed reports are given every week about work-related accidents and traffic accidents.

Of course, for many people, this kind of talk is "overheard" -- as expected, after decades of this, "safety awareness" is drummed into them.

If someone from another company were to ask me, I would be worried that they would suspect that the company Ebata works for is experiencing mass hysteria over safety.

It's not an exaggeration to call it "brainwashing", however it is a good "brainwashing"

Because "safety" is absolute justice.

The cost of safety is not cheap, but it is still overwhelmingly "cheap" compared to the cost of responding to an "accident".

The problem is that this 'brainwashing' about safety awareness can play out in other areas as well.

My family gets annoyed when I show my safety awareness about electrical wiring, stuff in front of the stove, and other tidiness in my home.

It's frustrating to see people in the neighborhood association working on setting up the turrets for the summer festival without wearing helmets or protective shoes.

Well, it's called "the evil of brainwashing'.

Therefore, I am really "shocked" when I hear reports of fatal accidents within the company.

So, what I've been wondering lately is whether this "shock of mine" is something I can share with other employees.

I am very worried about this "brainwashing" because I believe it is the only thing worth passing on to the next generation.

In March, I have been instructed by my supervisor to have three lecture sessions for university students.

I had a variety of ideas, but I thought, well, "'AI' would be popular these days," I replied to the professor.

Now, the "preparation for lectures" is giving me a headache.

I think I can keep speaking bullshit English for about an hour of the lecture.

That training was completed 20 years ago.

The problem is "practice problems".

AI is basically 'violent forced computation' using computer programs.

"How to have students who do not know programming practice the AI calculation process in a "classroom" setting, using "hand calculations" and "calculation paper"

This is unimaginably difficult.

Frankly, I don't know where to start.

In addition, the restriction of 'only one hour of lecture time' has been a pain for me.

For example, I would like at least "5 hours" to explain the AI techniques of Bayesian and fuzzy reasoning, but currently I have only 15 minutes each.

I have a feeling that if I go into the lecture as it is, 'it will be the most boring lecture imaginable'.

This is why I have been keeping my head in the sand for the past few days.

I think I understand a piece of "why math education can be so boring".

It was here that I came to the realization that 'to make math education fun, we need at least five to ten times as much time as we have in our current frames.

In this column, I concluded,

(1) The business of "fortune-telling" is a collaborative creative activity based on a conversation between a "fortune-teller" and a "customer who is going for a fortune-telling session.

(2) In (1) above, the expected output and process "is to derive 'the answer that the customer doing the divination wants.

I am still absolutely confident in this conclusion, so if anyone has a problem with it, please dispute it with me.

When I see a self-proclaimed "fortune teller" speaking on a TV program, I immediately walk away from the TV.

It's because I feel like my eyes are dirty, my ears are rotten, and I've lost time (even if it's only for a few seconds).

However, I do not believe I have the right to "harm even the feelings of those who find these programs 'enjoyable' -- especially if they are my family members.

So, the right thing to do in these situations is to "walk away quietly.

On page 5 of the column introduced in this issue, I have compiled a table of past incidents that led to the "near extinction of the human race.

And, well, all of this is human error and has nothing to do with AI technology.

Recently, however, I have felt that "AI technology" has caught up with me to the point where I cannot ignore it.

As you know, I have been using ChatGPT and GitHub Copilot a lot lately.

And the way it is used is just like a Copilot.

By offering advice, receiving a response, and then engaging in further discussion of some of the content, getting a response, and so forth, and so on and on...

"Thoughts lurking inside I emerge as verbalized/embodied."

I can achieve the above.

Two important things are,

(1) AI technology is not the main focus; it is my partner.

And,

(2) The ability to keep "repeating" as many times as possible.

ChatGPT and GitHub Copilot "never get tired" (I'm the only one who gets tired), no matter how long I use them.

Of course, ChatGPT and GitHub Copilot can also be self-contradictory (or "circular argument") in their arguments after 20 or more times of poking and prodding.

This self-contradiction and circular argument seems (at the moment) to be something that ChatGPT and GitHub Copilot cannot even notice on their own.

It is up to me, the human being, to notice this and change the stage of the discussion by changing the content of the question or the background of the setting -- for now.

What I am trying to say is,

"AI" cannot destroy humanity, but it is increasingly likely that "humans" will find approaches to destroy humankind in discussions with AI."

This is what I 'feel'.

What is essential is that the above phrase is not something I derived by "logic" but something I actually "feel" as I am confronted with AI daily.

Frankly, this reality is quite "uncomfortable" for me.

Why do I find it uncomfortable? -- It is because the relationship between the "generated AI (ChatGPT and GitHub Copilot)" and "I" is the same as the relationship between a "fortune teller" and a "fortune teller's customer," which I make fun of.

Of course, I believe that fortune-telling is incomparably more "vulgar" in its character and significance.

However, even if we limit ourselves to the relationship and approach, I think it is not too much to say that the two are not "similar" but rather "joint."

The only difference is that the object of belief is either a "fortune teller" or a "generative AI."

This fact now makes me feel intensely uncomfortable.
