『この技術さえ取得すれば、後の人生は安泰だぜ』

"If I acquire this technology, my life will be safe later".

といえる技術は何か ―― ということを考え続けています。

I continue to think about what the technology is.

エンジニアは「技術」を持っているだけで『勝ち組』のように言われることがあります。

An engineer sometimes seems to be a "winner" just by having "technology".

実際に何度かそういうことがありました。

I have faced the scenes several times actually.

もちろんエンジニアである私は、「そんなことあるわけないだろう」と思っています。

Of course, as an engineer, I think, "it is a nonsense".

その一方で、世間の人からは「そう見えるかもしれないなぁ」とも思うこともあります。

On the other hand, it cannot be helped that people may think that.

技術とは、一言で言えば「物事を解決する方法」ですが、この概念は広過ぎます。

Technology in a nutshell is "how to solve things", but this concept is too broad.

特許法の考え方を援用すれば、「エンジニアの技術」とは、(1)課題、(2)解決手段、(3)作用効果が明確でであり、さらには、(4)反復可能性、(5)実施可能性、(6)客観性を有していること、となります。

Using the idea of patent law, "engineer technology" means that (1) problems, (2)means of solution, (3)operational effects are clear, and (4)repeatability, ( 5)possibility of implementation, (6)having objectivity are needed.

ぶっちゃけて言えば、「第三者に伝承ができるもの」、であって、「金になるもの(価値があるもの)」と言い切ってもいいでしょう。

In short, it can be said that it is something that can be handed down to a third party, and that it can change money (something that is valuable).

しかし、このような「エンジニアの技術」は、「第三者に伝承ができるもの」であるが故に、「価値の暴落する速度が速い」のです。

However, such "engineering skills" are "things that can be passed down to third parties", so "the speed at which the value crashes is fast".

■プログラムができれば、人生は安泰だぜ

- if you can program, your life is going to be safe.

■インターネットの通信技術が身につけば、人生は安泰だぜ

- if you have the Internet communication skill, your life is going to be safe.

■サーバの構築ができれば、人生は安泰だぜ

- if you can build a server, your life is going to be safe.

■Webサイトの管理ができれば、人生は安泰だぜ

- if you can manage your website, your life is going to be safe.

■ビッグデータの解析ができれば、人生は安泰だぜ

- if you can analyze big data, your life is going to be safe.

■クラウドが使いこばせれば、人生は安泰だぜ

- if you can use cloud computing, your life is going to be safe.

■AI(？)が使いこばせれば、人生は安泰だぜ

- If you can use AI(?), your life is going to be safe.

―― 笑わせないで下さい。

"Please don't make me laugh"

これが事実なら、私の人生は、「7重の安泰」という、

If this is the case, my life has been protected by "sever layers of safety", like,

原発の安全運用管理も真っ青の、「安泰」が実現されていなければならないはずです(まあ、原発の安全神話は崩壊していますが)

"a real nuclear safety management" that is called "world-class safety" (Well, the safety myth of the nuclear power plant has already collapsed)
