(Continuation from yesterday)
私が予備校生のころ、笠井潔さんの「バイバイ、エンジェル」の中での、ヒロインのナディア・モガールのフレーズで、私は魂を抜かました。
When I was in prep school students, I was shocked to read the phrase of "Nadia Mogaru" as the heroin, in the book of "Bye-bye, Angel" whose author was Mr.Kiyoshi Kasai.
『あなたが、あなたが殺したのよ』
"You, you killed them."
『犯罪者でないというのなら、それを証明してみろ。その証拠を見せてみろ───あなたの目は、こう言ったんだわ。 彼らにはもう、どうすることもできなかった』
"If they want to claim "I am not a criminal", you said to them "prove it, and show me the evidence"".
"Your eyes said that, but they didn't do anything"
―― 凄いぞ私。この辺りまだ覚えている。本当に何回読み返したことか
"I am amazing. I remember these phrases. How many times I read them again"

笠井潔さんの「哲学者の密室」の中で論じられていると言われている、ハイデッカー批判 ―― とかは、全然分からなかったのですけど、
I didn't understand the Heidegger criticism in Mr Kasai's another novel "Locked room of philosopher".
私が衝撃を受けたフレーズは、
The phrases I was shocked,
「生と死の間隙の時間を、極限まで短くして、ゼロ時間とした時、そこに『死』はない」
"When the gap between the time of life and death shortens and becomes zero, there is no "death" nowhere."
という、ナチスドイツの絶滅収容所の所長が、彼なりの「死の哲学」を展開したところです。
The scene that a director of the extermination camps of Nazi Germany explains His "philosophy of death".
これは、いわゆる「死の恐怖と苦痛を感じる時間を極限まで短くした『死』」に因った場合に限り、「人道的な虐殺が成立する」と問いている訳です。
This means, he explains that the only "death" extremely shortens his/her fear and pain of death, makes "humane slaughter is satisfied."
―― はぁ？ 江端は、一体何を言っているんだ？
"Huh? What the hell is Ebata talking about?"
―― 「人道的な虐殺」って、江端は、ついに壊れたのか？
"Finally, Ebata is broken, even to tell "humane slaughter"?"
